Preschool February Vacation Camp
with Molly Woodring
Register for single days or the whole week!
Location: Gilsland Farm
Our half-day (9 am-1 pm) preschool camps are an opportunity for children ages 3-5 to learn about winter wildlife through play and outdoor adventure. Our daily schedule includes time for art, hiking, free play, games, stories, and songs.
Partial scholarships are available to those who need financial assistance. Please call 207-781-2330 x273 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also download the Maine Audubon Financial Aid Form (pdf).
Tuesday: Snow Science
Are all snowflakes really unique? How do they form? We’ll explore freezing and melting today as we investigate snow and ice.
Wednesday: Animal Hide and Seek
Who is hiding in the snow? What animal evidence can we find? Today we’ll practice following and identifying animal tracks and explore camouflage, too!
Thursday: Feathered Friends
Not all of our birds fly south for the winter! Today we’ll look for those that stick around (or come to) Maine and learn about how they adapt to the cold.
Friday: Winter Wildlife
Who is sleeping under the snow? Who is active? After a special meet and greet with an animal ambassador, we’ll hit the trail to search for active animals and cozy winter homes.
