Location: Scarborough Marsh


On this family-oriented hike, participants will use their senses to discover the night life at the marsh. We will try to find many different species of wildlife including a special night mammal, the bat. Participants will be able to use Wildlife Acoustics Echo Meters (www.EchoMeterTouch.com) to detect them and may want to download the free smartphone app in advance.

Experience a day of family fun, including an early morning bird walk starting at 7am, a canoe tour, nature crafts, used book sale, nature walks and more. There will be special programs for children as well as displays and information.

Wewill have a large used book sale on a variety of topics inlcuding many bird and nature books. Come join us for this fun-filled day and celebrate all that Maine’s largest salt marsh has to offer!

Become a detective and discover the mysteries around us. Join in on a scavenger hunt, make your own nature notebook, and learn how to use the tools of the trade.

The Children’s Nature Series is designed and led by trained naturalists. Ages five and up.

Tween Adventure Summer Camp at Fields Pond (Gr. 5-8)

Location: Fields Pond Audubon Center, Holden

Tween Adventure Camp is for students who have completed grades 5-8.

Have an epic adventure this summer!  Adventure camp students will have the opportunity to explore an island, paddle a canoe, experience wildlife up close and personal, and make new friends.

Cost:  Member, $190/session, Nonmember, $220/session

Through the generosity of local businesses, organizations and individuals, partial scholarships are available for Maine residents who need financial assistance.
