Join us for a "bushel" of fun at the 31st Annual Apple Day Celebration! It’s packed full of fall fun with games, workshops, cider-making and other "a-peeling" activities. Join us in our historic apple orchard to learn about bees and pollinators and why wildlife habitat is at the "core" of our mission!
We "picked" out a few highlights of the day:
Book signing: The Maine Play Book with Jennifer Hazard 10-12
Music by the "Sea Slugs"
Family Fun at Gilsland Farm
with Molly Woodring
Weekly on Tuesdays
Child members: $120
Child non-members: $150
Ages 2-5, siblings under 2 free
Location: Gilsland Farm
Young children and their grown-ups are invited to spend an hour exploring nature together through stories, songs, art, and play. Each week will include both indoor activities and outdoor adventures designed to foster a connection to nature, encourage stewardship, and provide an introduction to group learning settings.
Advanced registration is encouraged! Drop-ins are welcome if space is available.
Scarborough Marsh Fall Clean Up
Location: Scarborough Marsh
Fall is here and it is time to clean up the marsh, and close down the Nature Center for the season. We will be doing a trash pickup and will also need help getting the nature center and grounds ready for another Maine winter.
This year we are partnering with Project G.R.A.C.E. to collect food. Bring some nonperishable food or a store gift card to the clean up and help the human inhabitants of the marsh.
Join us for a work day and help make our corner of the earth a better place.
