Location: Gilsland Farm

We will start our camp day with scientific exploration, make a connection with a book at lunch, have free play, and reconnect with an activity or craft tying into the theme of the day.

Daily Camp themes

 Wetland Explorations (Monday, April 15, 2019)

Insects, amphibians, birds, mammals, and more are some of the things we may spot on our journey to the pond and marsh.  Net and capture some of the critters with us to study them up close!

Birds Bonanza (Tuesday, April 16, 2019)

Campers will fly into an exciting day of flight, song, and bird behavior.  We will put our birding skills to the test and see how many bird species we can find today.

Animal Survival  (Wednesday, April 17, 2019)

Campers will participate in activities that will have them acting like animals using their adaptations to survive in the wild.

Tracking (Thursday, April 18, 2019)

Learn how to identify animals by footprints, scat, and other clues they leave behind.  Become a detective to solve the mystery of who has been here!

Earth Celebration (Friday, April 19th, 2019)

Today we will celebrate the Earth by learning about animal adaptations during our Live Animal Show (10:30-11:30)  provided by the Center for Wildlife!  We will finish our day with an exploration in nature and Earth art.

Daily Camp themes

Winter Birds (Tuesday, February 19, 2019)

Learn about the many bird adaptations!  Where are they coming from, what type of nest will they build, what are they going to eat?  Campers will be active learning about bird migration and get creative thinking and acting like a bird.

Wildlife On The Move (Wednesday, February 20, 2019)

Fly, hop, crawl, and waddle your way into camp where we will explore how iconic and endangered species move through nature.  Campers will learn what these species need and will be able to create special messages through movement and art.

Snow Science (Thursday, February 21, 2019)

Explore how snow is formed and how it creates homes for many critters in the winter.  We will get creative with frozen art and science experiments!

Predator Prowl (Friday, February 22, 2019)

Today we will explore predators in winter during our Live Animal Show (10:30-11:30)  provided by the Center for Wildlife!  We will finish our day with an exploration in nature.
