Daily Camp themes

Tracking - Tuesday, February 18, 2020

Learn how animal tracks tell a story - of who’s been there, what they were doing, and where they might have gone! We will spend the day looking for evidence of wildlife around Gilsland Farm - footprints, scat, and other clues abound for us to investigate.

Winter Birds - Wednesday, February 19, 2020

Which birds stay in Maine to brave the cold? Which head south for the winter? Together we’ll observe and study the amazing ways birds cope with our changing seasons.

Snow Science & Snow Art - Thursday, February 20, 2020

By exploring the amazing properties of snow and ice campers will deepen their understanding of our frozen world. We’ll spend time creating art about and with these frozen resources to celebrate the beauty of winter.

Winter Wildlife - Friday, February 21, 2020

On this day we’ll enjoy an engaging Live Animal Show (10:30-11:30 am) put on by the Center for Wildlife and their animal ambassadors. We’ll wrap up the day exploring the frozen landscape of Gilsland Farm and considering how we can help winter wildlife.
